ENGAGEMENT PROTOCOL4 PHASES
PH-01
ASSESS
Full operational and infrastructure assessment. Map systems, dependencies, and organizational dynamics. Identify gaps, risks, and competing priorities. Deliver prioritized findings with clear risk ratings. Not a 200-page report nobody reads. Actionable intelligence.
PH-02
DESIGN
Architect the solution. Build the governance framework, define the implementation roadmap, establish success criteria. Navigate stakeholder alignment, executive pre-socialization, and cross-department consensus. Secure buy-in before execution begins, not after.
PH-03
EXECUTE
Implement. Stand up infrastructure, migrate platforms, deploy monitoring, build SOPs, hire and train staff. Coordinate across operations, engineering, security, and vendor teams through delivery. Hands-on or advisory, depending on what the situation needs.
PH-04
SUSTAIN
Multiple paths based on organizational need. Full knowledge transfer and handoff to your internal team. Transition to ongoing FTE leadership to run what was built. Establish managed operations through a partner MSP. Or a hybrid. The goal is operational continuity, not a specific exit model.
TRACK RECORDANONYMIZED
Built a complete IT operation from zero for a 100-person media organization. Infrastructure, team, department, processes, budget. Ran it for a decade.
Led NOC transformation for a Fortune 100 client managing services for millions of end users across a 10-person global operations team.
Migrated legacy cloud infrastructure to modern platform with zero service interruption.
Built out a new terrestrial broadcast facility in a second market as part of a multi-region expansion strategy.
Separated an entire IT ecosystem from a university's infrastructure into a standalone operation. New AD forest, new security posture, new everything.
Cut critical incident response times by integrating 24/7 SOC and implementing proactive monitoring across distributed environments.
OPERATIONAL PROFILEVERIFIED
20 years in enterprise IT. Not just managing operations. Building them. I've walked into organizations with no IT function and built everything from bare metal up. Servers, network, virtualization, security, monitoring, disaster recovery. Hired the team. Created the department. Wrote the SOPs. Owned the budget. Then ran it.

At one organization I built the entire Technical Operations department from nothing. Designed and deployed the infrastructure at a brand new facility. Led a live migration of production broadcast systems with zero downtime. Separated an entire IT ecosystem from a university's infrastructure into a standalone operation. Built it, ran it, evolved it for a decade.

I'm equally effective walking into something that's already running and not running well. Consolidating sprawl, ripping out legacy infrastructure, fixing monitoring that's just generating noise, implementing governance that people will actually follow.

Most consultants are either strategic and theoretical, or tactical and can't talk to leadership. I do both. I can troubleshoot a routing table and I can present to a board. I can build consensus in organizations where getting six people to agree on lunch is a political exercise. That's what I bring.
